The Thermacell Lantern is a practical mosquito repellent that combines effective protection against mosquitoes with an atmospheric LED lamp. It fits perfectly on the table on the patio, balcony, veranda, or when camping, creating a pleasant environment without bothersome mosquitoes.

The device is powered by a butane gas cartridge that heats a mosquito repellent mat and creates a mosquito protection zone. The Thermacell Lantern is easily started by turning the switch to the start position.

How Thermacell mosquito repellent works

Thermacell is a portable mosquito repellent for outdoor use that effectively repels mosquitoes without sprays or lotions on the skin. When the device is started, it heats a mosquito repellent mat using a gas cartridge. This releases an odorless substance that creates a protective zone around you.

The protection creates a zone of up to approximately 20 m² where mosquitoes avoid flying in. The result is a more pleasant outdoor environment on the deck, balcony, veranda, or when you are out in nature.

Most Thermacell models work the same way and use the same type of mosquito repellent mats and gas cartridges (except Backpacker).

Other important information

• Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
• Mats with mosquito repellent are a pesticide against mosquitoes and must not be used where there is a risk of exposure to aquatic environments.
• Mats with mosquito repellent should only be used in the proper device. Thermacell Mosquito Repellent is for outdoor use only. Must not be used indoors, in tents or other enclosed spaces. Use in any other way than specified here can cause higher concentrations which may cause irritation; ensure fresh air and rest.
• In case of ingestion of mats, drink water or milk and contact a doctor.
• Unused mats should be stored cool and dry in closed packaging. Mats and used devices are considered hazardous waste and must be disposed of at an approved waste disposal site. Opened mat packages and used mats must not be reused.
• Each mosquito repellent mat lasts up to 4 hours. The mat starts blue but fades and finally turns white when the active ingredient is completely released and the mat is thus used up. Vapors may sometimes be visible during use, which is completely normal. Do not expose the device or mats to rain.
