The red variant contains a composition with a higher proportion of lactic acid in combination with Octenol (1-octen-3-ol). The combination enhances attraction in environments where the mosquito population is intense, for example in southern Europe and similar climates.

When Octenol is combined with carbon dioxide, mosquitoes perceive the machine as a human, which increases the attractant effect and improves capture.

The glue sheets are of the Rapid Action type and feature a distinct grass pattern with high contrast. Studies and practical tests show that mosquitoes are attracted by clear contrasts in their surroundings.

This means that the glue sheets not only capture insects mechanically – they also actively contribute to increasing the capture effect through visual attraction.

Other important information

• Follow the instructions accompanying the product. Never disassemble or cut open the Octenol cartridge itself (i.e., the hard plastic casing). Doing so risks direct contact with the Octenol substance inside the cartridge. Using it in any other way than stated here can cause higher concentrations which may be harmful to health and cause irritation.
• If Octenol substance inside the cartridge is ingested, immediately call the Poison Control Center or a physician for advice. Let the person drink water in small sips.
• If you get the concentrated substance inside the cartridge on your skin or in your eyes, immediately wash the skin or rinse the eye slowly and carefully with plenty of water.
• If a person inhales a high concentration of octenol, ensure fresh air and rest.
• Unused cartridges should be stored in a cool and dry place.
