How R-Octenol works

R-Octenol (R-1-octen-3-ol) is an optimized form of octenol used in professional mosquito traps. The substance enhances the effect of carbon dioxide and helps to attract both mosquitoes and gnats.

Easy to use

• Place the scent cartridge in the machine's holder according to the manufacturer's instructions.
• Replace the cartridge after about 30 days or when replacing the propane.
• Dispose of the empty cartridge according to local waste regulations.

Other important information

• Follow the instructions included with the product. Never disassemble or cut open the R-Octenol cartridge itself (i.e., the hard plastic casing). Doing so risks direct contact with the R-Octenol substance inside the cartridge. Usage other than as specified here can cause higher concentrations that may be harmful to health and cause irritation.
• If the R-Octenol substance inside the cartridge is ingested, immediately call the Poison Control Center or a doctor for advice. Have the person drink water in small sips.
